Ila Marie Ernst, 92, of rural Johnson County, most recently a resident of Crestview Care Center in West Branch, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, after a sudden illness surrounded by loving family.

Kevin Wood is a local quilting artist who works in West Branch, Iowa. He and his wife Christine own Cedar Valley Quilts, located at 1008 West Main in West Branch, and Kevin has taken his love of art and turned it into a desire to create heirloom quilts for quilters in the area and nationwide.
