Rural post offices to stay open under new proposal; 23 sites in...

The nearly bankrupt U.S. Postal Service has backed off of a plan that would have closed eight local post offices, but it will instead reduce the hours at 23 locations in Humboldt County under a proposal unveiled Wednesday.
