This is still the best place to eat. If you haven't tried it, do so. You won't be disappointed.

I've eaten there twice and was really disappointed in their food, especially for the price...very mediocre and bland. I thought it would be more homestyle and fresh...seemed like it was just frozen fare.

i agree, when working in wentzville several would love eating lunch at west allen - lunch buffet.
it was as if they cooked frozen food from sam's club. it was like pete's - i believe local folks have good memories that make both special in their hearts. i was disappointed. i miss the mexican
rest. that was next to the old walmart location
off the south service road. does anyone know where they went to?

i don't live in the area.
i see all is closed in the section. thought perhaps the area was part of a planned road expansion linking the parkway to Z.
i didn't know if the restaurant had changed locations. the place was always full, good food, reasonable prices.
if they moved to mexico i wish them well. they were good people.(as my grandmother would say)

I liked that little mexican place too. It was out of the way so wasnt too crowded and the food was authentic mexican. The new owners took over maybe about a year before they closed, but things werent the same, the food just wasnt as good.
