Voters oppose rights for corporations
The Occupy Wall Street movement may have garnered plenty of media attention last year, but it's in town halls that the grass-roots movement has paid off this spring: Half of Franklin County's 26 towns have either voted to reject the U.S. Supreme Court's giving corporations the same rights as people or are scheduled to do so.
One-Time Poster Child for Missing Children Sentenced for Child Rape
A New York man who was once a poster child for missing children was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison Friday for sexually assaulting and trying to strangle a 10-year-old girl, according to Albany County District Attorney David Soares.
