We found the Pearl - while beautiful - not up to par. Our service was awful and our food arrived cold after we waited an hour and a half. The tuna was a grey color and did not look fresh. The prices were for tourists - quite high. And how anyone could make a Martini that was undrinkable is a mystery to me. Don't bother giving them your business as there are better places in town like Mac's or Finely JP's.

I agree, the establishment looked great, but that was deceiving. There was no A/C, and while it was packed for dinner, became very loud and not a comfortable atmosphere. We ordered fish and steak, and both were undercooked and portions were too small for the prices they were asking. They have a great balcony as well, but we were not allowed to eat dinner upstairs?! The drinks were terrible, and our waitress made us feel rushed. For the prices we were paying, we could have went to a fine dining restaurant instead and felt relaxed on our vacation. Will not be going back.

Im afraid the Pearl just doesnt have "staying power". Like the Roo Bars, it is pretty to look at, but that is just about it. These people seem to drop the ball after that. Menu started out boring but expensive. The place is loud hot and pricey and the older hostess lady should pack it in as far as her greeting skills. All in all Id recommend skipping it. Id rather have the tacky interior of the Bookstore Restaurant anyday. The view is killer, and the food is ALWAYS good. Their prices are reasonable and tried and true for 45 years. So long Pearl.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Aquarius

You will not be satisfied in your work place, but give it some time and things will fall into place. Those in the construction business should get some good news. Aquarian homebodies will find things rather hectic and may develop a headache by the end of the day, so you should avoid negative thinking as much as possible.
