Walls new novel will please Glass Castle fans

Full story: Charleston Gazette

For two decades, Jeannette Walls hid her roots. When Walls was young, her restless family had lived like nomads, moving from one Southwestern desert town to another and sometimes living in primitive mountain camps.

Someone sent me the Glass Castle. I liked the book.
It was about more than West Virginia. Growing up poor in a single family household I could relate to much of what unfolded in the story. But I was lucky my mom raised six of us and we did have beds to sleep in. We did have to to bath in an wash tub and did not have indoor plumbing until I was a teenager.
I will check out the new novel.

I have just received my copy of Half Broke Horses. I'm looking forward to another wonderful read written by Jeannette.

They should have the book. I know the book club read it as one of our book club books. So they should have it.

Thanks I was thinking about joining the book club. What all do you do and what days is it on? How long does it last?

We read 3 books each month some months we read two books. And we discuss each book. Then we have food. It just lasts an hour. Book Club is usually on the last Thursday of the month. We've already met for November the next one will be the 17th of December at 1:00. Just go to the Library and let one of the women there know you want to join. The meeting in December will be our little Christmas Party.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
