I think this thing with weiner needs to be broadcast all over just to make a point, I feel so sorry for the familes and what they must be going through, but adults need to take charge and 15 year old boys do not need guns out where they can get to them, if they have not had some kind of training or adult supervision.

I think its great that they arrested him...... If you look at this from Harrisburgs point of view, weiner boys can shoot people and not get into trouble for it...... but Judd will get what he deserves and so will Chase Fowler!!!

Leave Chase out of this if you remeber he was taken to jail. He is in school and has A good job and will make something of his life.

Some people just love to stir things up... sounds like you may be from Harrisburg & overgeneralizing your opinion to make it sound like what everyone over there believes.

Two totally different situations, both with tragic outcomes, both broadcast in the news repeatedly... I guess nothing bad ever happens in your area or anywhere else that can compare to what has happened here that you can talk about or do you just choose to ignore what won't get you some attention?

I tell ya, some people really need to learn some compassion & learn to control their attention seeking urges &/or their love for public gossip.

If you look at it from Weiners view, and anyone else that knows the true story, no one ever arrested any HB boys and they are the ones that should have been charged. Don't stir that one up again. Let there try to be peace for once and for all! Lets get our skeletons out of our own closet before we judge ANY of these teens!!!!

Chris - I am fairly certain that I know who you are & I don't hold much faith in anything that you say. I don't believe that what I say is gossip because I actually speak the truth & basically point out what kind of idiots there are (such as yourself) who post all kinds of CRAP that should never see the light of day. If that is what you want to call gossip, then I guess that is what I do... at least my posts are on the up & up instead of tossing out hatred, condemnation, & judging anyone & everyone because of some situation that has occurred.

I know that there are many skeletons in your closet & you are definitely one who needs to take a look in the mirror before you go around bashing all the people you talk about on here (& more than likely behind their backs in real life). Would you like to put your last name on your posts so that others will know who you are & then be able to take your words at face value based on what they know about you?

If you don't like me or what I say then I guess you should either stop reading my posts or stop posting all of the gossip that you like to spread. Once again I will say that I don't give a damn who likes my opinions or my posts; my posts are based on fact & are usually pretty considerate of other people by taking other people's feelings into account. At this point, your feelings are the least of my worries because I have read the venom that you have spewed out on threads that have been deleted. Why don't you put your energy & effort to good use and actually do something constructive for someone who needs it done? That same question goes to everyone else who comes on here posting rumors, lies, half truths, & stories that they themselves believe are true but really have no proof of anything.

You don't like me, that's fine; but I think it is time that someone calls you out on how your posts incite such hatred & anger instead of focusing on ways to sympathize, heal, & move forward (notice, I did not say move on...).

Just my opinion as always so anyone can take it for what they think it is worth based on any posts they've read of mine before or what they know of me as a person & my character.

Have a good day (if you know how to do such a thing).

Ok, so guest 2 is also the one posting as Chris? Good grief, can't get enough said with one id you gotta have two (or more) or is it that you really don't want anyone to know your true identity? I don't post people's names on here if I'm not 100% sure who it is; I'm very close to that on who you are but I don't know your "new" last name...

Off to see what else has been posted on the few topics that I care to look at...

I've decided that is nobody's business unless you live here in Weiner and are having to endure this tragedy. People from Weiner, lets just quit answering these idiots who are just nosy and want to gossip. If something constructive was being said, it would be different. But its not. Let them call the ASP if its really got anything to do with their life. Which I doubt. Those of us who it has touched and are living with this tragedy just need to sit tight and quit posting. And pray for John, Amanda, Myla, the rest of the family, the Fire Dept., Rolland, the school, the other teenagers, the ASP, and everyone deciding the fate of these teenagers. Lets pray the right thing will be done and maybe we can all get some peace. It will be a long tome coming.

I agree, there is no sense in running this into the ground & causing more trauma to the families, friends, teenagers, & entire town who have been affected. Been trying to say that for a few days now; healing & dealing come in many ways but all of the negative that has been posted on here won't lead to either of those goals. It's definitely time for people to back off & let things get sorted out instead of continually posting whatever comes to mind &/or the things they have heard but do not know for sure if it is fact.

Thumbs up for your post!

I am so sorry to hear that Judd was arrested. I find it hard to believe.

I do know a lot of stuff goes on at Weiner and everywhere that would shock people if they only knew.

Most people use feelings or emotions to decide whether or not Judd is guilty of the crime of manslaughter. The judicial system does not work in this manner. The case will include looking at the facts, issue(s), rule of law, an analysis of the rule of law to the facts and issue(s), and a conclusion.

Fact: Miles Greeno is dead as the result of a fatal shotgun wound to the head. Judd has confessed that he pointed the gun at Miles and pulled the trigger. Judd states he did not mean to kill Miles when he pointed the gun to his head and pulled the trigger.

Issue(s): Was this an "accident" or a "crime"?
If it was not an accident, what crime occurred?

Rule: According to Arkansas Statute 5-2-202 regarding criminal offenses,(3)“Recklessly”
[is defined as](A) A person acts recklessly with respect to attendant circumstances or a result of
his or her conduct when the person consciously disregards a substantial and unjustifiable risk
that the attendant circumstances exist or the result will occur.
(B) The risk must be of a nature and degree that disregard of the risk constitutes a
gross deviation from the standard of care that a reasonable person would observe in the actor's situation.

In other words, acting in a manner which could pose a good possibility of risk to someone with no reason to do so (as in self-defense) and that a "reasonable person" would not do is reckless behavior which is a crime.

5-10-104. Manslaughter.
(a) A person commits manslaughter if:
(1)(A) The person causes the death of another person under circumstances that would
be murder, except that he or she causes the death under the influence of extreme emotional
disturbance for which there is reasonable excuse.
(B) The reasonableness of the excuse is determined from the viewpoint of a
person in the actor's situation under the circumstances as the actor believed them to be;
(3) The person recklessly causes the death of another person;
(c) Manslaughter is a Class C felony.

In other words, acting "recklessly" in a behavior which results in the death of another person constitutes "manslaughter" in Arkansas.

Analysis: According to the definition, pointing a gun to Miles' head and pulling the trigger obviously carries substantial and unjustifiable risk and a "reasonable person" would NEVER do this. A reasonable person knows that the basic standard of care for gun safety is to always treat a gun as if it is loaded and never point it at anyone (unless you are trying to injure or kill them). Therefore, when Judd pointed that gun and pulled the trigger he behaved in a "reckless" manner.

Furthermore, Judd's reckless behavior resulted in the death of Miles Greeno, thereby meeting the criminal elements of manslaughter.

Conclusion: This was not an "accident" according to Arkansas Statute 5-2-202 because it meets the requirements of "reckless" culpability.

Judd's actions are consistent with the charge of manslaughter because his reckless actions resulted in the death of Miles Greeno.
