Amazing!!! The state can run billions of dollars in the red, yet they continue to go after organizations for a measley few thousand. I'd like to see a count of how many private clubs in Philly get busted. Know that saying "Pick your battles wisely", the resources that go into busting these clubs would be better spent on drug enforcement or education.

Oh no, gambling in the State of Pennsylvania. Shame on you. Throw the book at them. Shame shame. P.S. Don't forget to visit your Pa approved local slot machine or off track betting parlor and bring lots of money. We want to take it all.

If they would give the proceeds of their games to charity, as required by law, then the police would not bother them.

But they continue to keep that money rather than give it to the little league, the fire company, the police department, the county home, the high school, the local churches.

Greedy old men who put $1.00 beers ahead of all these worthy charities.

Too bad all the employees aren't volunteers and the electric, sewer & water services aren't donated as well as the food & beverages in these clubs. Gee, if legislation would move faster & pass the dang bill to up the amount all these clubs should be able to make from all this "evil" gambling...maybe there would be more monies available for all the local civic organizations they used to help out in the past. The freakin cost of living has gone up & up for years & what the clubs were legally permitted to take in has remained the same. Oh, but let it be a State run gambling establishment & the sky is the limit.

That's exactly right. Everyone wants to blame the PA laws and the LCE. Yes, they're the ones who come and bust the place, but they usually leave the clubs alone until their forced to check them out by some nagging/disgruntled wife who is pissed because her husband blew 2/3's of the paycheck on fish bowl tickets. Also clubs ratting on each other is a major problem is well. Once one club is hit it's sour grape city and they start telling on all of the other clubs out of sheer bitterness.

It's a sad state of affairs. These clubs do so much for the community and provide, for the most part, good people with a place to go and have a few drinks. I say screw you to the bitchy wives who call in and ruin it for everyone.

Go to a PA approved gambling casino or off track betting parlor, they will take all of your money, not just 2/3. They have Coy and a whole beaurocracy to support, spend all you can so a little trickles down to my property tax "relief". No relief yet.

LCB...Bunch of over rated thugs with no good intentions but to push the working man around. LCB wastes taxpayer money going on a witch hunt, all this is about is money and to push/promote state run casinos. No one really heard much from the LCB until the state run casinos started. You can thank our corrupt and mafia tied Governor Rendell for this trickle down effect. Leave the WORKING MAN alone and let him spend his money on whatever he dam well pleases.

Or so they say. That's what the big gaming interests would like to have us believe anyway.

Let's put State money (Opps, I mean our tax payer money) to checking out Little Dora the Explorer at School of how her illegal parents are sucking the system dry. Get out the posse and ship the whole family back south. Quit ruining of our class rooms with ESL teachers that have to hold the hands of non english illegal kids. Save trees,-> I'm sick of every darn paper coming home from school being typed in two languages. Use tax dollars to run these illegals home, in the long run it will save 50 fold the expense of supporting every need of theirs that the normal working citizen has to pay for.

I'm sure the clubs wouldn't even mind if the government got a cut so they could actually use the rest of the gambling money to run the darn clubs. How damn hard would that be.

Those evil clubs! How do we stop such criminal activity???
OR
Maybe they should focus on the drug sellers in front of every Sheetz store, Bodega and corner in the towns around the county. Nah, just poor unemployed people trying to support families and survive.

I believe the LCB suspended operations at one of the social clubs in Greencastle for the same violation. Other clubs in the area - beware Big Borther may come knocking on your door real soon.

What issues are you talking about? Do you have information that would help the cops? If you do then call them rather than bellyache.
