Wayne woman says hospital to blame for mother's death

so who was your mom and which hospital

My Mom was in Cabell and I feel she was neglected to the point of getting a small blister on her left arm that was never treated even all our family ask where it came from and what was being done to treat. It continued to get worse. no treatment. Two weeks went by and the sore became larger and another one developed beside it on her wrist which it grew larger. The almost covered the arm from elbow to wrist with extreme redness and swollen from above the elbow to tip of her hand. Still no treatment. We demanded something be done and one of the nurses said "Oh she came in like that" I said "absolutely not and I have pointed this out to every nurse on duty and it has progressively became worse and now WHAT DO YOU PLAN ON DOING ABOUT IT BEFORE IT CAUSES HER TO LOSE HER ARM?" The nurse said we can exray it and see if it is a blood clot.( Well, it is about time.) Xray showed no blood clot, took culture of it two days before we had her transfered to St. Marys. They still did no treatment of her arm at Cabell in two whole weeks, I would call that neglect if you ask me.

ive heard many other stories about cabell like that

my mom was in cabell in march for about 2 weeks then went to st marys for about 3 weeks then went to corner stone , but while she was in cabell she got a bluster on her arm it busted and they diddnt tend to it and the end they said she had came in with it and i no for a fact she had nothing on her body cause im the one that got her ready to go to the hospital and as soon as she got to st marys they started dressing her arm everyday along with all of her other problems then she was sent to corner stone to get her off the vent and dress her arm it was all the way to the bone she stayed their for 45 days and then we brought her home they got her off the vent and we are still have nurses come 3 times a week to dress her arm it is 100%better but it is numb and the nurse told me today that it may come back but then again it may not it is nerve damage . so needless to say i wouldnt sent a person that i hated to cabell but my mom is doing very well now and im very thankfull
