Keri and Rebecca Tenza of Wattsburg are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, Nicholas, to Chantal Ziemianski of Bethel Park, Pa., daughter of Michael and Jane Ziemianski.

A Mississippi kite was over the Hawk Watch at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center on Thursday, the fourth record sighting for Erie County.

The 3-year-old Wattsburg girl bolted from her seat and ran for the taffy and miniature Tootsie Rolls being tossed from cars and floats in today's 48th annual Erie Zoo Parade.

The child's name wasn't being released Sunday. Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said that authorities were still trying to contact her mother.

The May 19 event at the Wattsburg-Erie County Fairgrounds will feature a talk by evangelist and apologist Alex McFarland.

Sharp is originally from the Wattsburg area, and his last known address was the 1800 block of East Seventh Street in Erie.
