WATERBURY, Conn. Police and automotive experts say over-the-top attempts by some drivers to boost their gas mileage could be endangering them and other motorists.

Hypermiling is a very dangerous thing, but if everyone practiced safe, courteous driving, they'd see how much gas they actually waste per day.
People who blow past you on a road only to be seen waiting right in front of you at the next stop light, then once it turns green, they squeal off at 60 is wasting much more gas than anything.. |
