A frontal system swept across the Northwest Coast this morning, producing rain showers across western Oregon and Washington. Areas of the Pacific Northwest were placed under winter storm and high wind warnings as conditions were expected to worsen.
A winter storm drenched the Northern Rockies with rain and snow showers, and the area was placed under winter storm and high wind advisories. Pockets of the Northern Rockies were also placed under avalanche warnings.
Meanwhile, a band of snow showers over areas of the Great Lakes were accompanied by strong winds. Northern Michigan and Wisconsin were placed under a winter weather advisory.
