Information submitted VAN WERT - The 5th Annual Van Wert City 5K Run will be held on Saturday, June 2, beginning at 8 a.m. Runners will leave Smiley Park, turn west on Leeson Avenue, north on John Brown Road to Woodland Avenue.

A memorial service will be May 25 for Mary Williams who died at home in Boulder Creek after continuing struggles with heart and pulmonary diseases.

The annual Police Unity Tour begins its first leg Wednesday morning, and will ride through downtown Madison and Chatham .

Dr. Alfred Konuwa, vice president for Woodland Community College, has been selected to participate as a Fellow in the 2012 Class of the E. De La Garza Fellowship Program.

Mary Josephine Hargraves, 89, widow of the late East Liverpool School administrator George Hargraves, Jr., passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Woodland Terrace in Cary, N.C. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on January 30, 1923, the daughter of the late James P. Powers and Emma McMahon Powers.
