Occupy D.C. activists tried to block the on monitors showing U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, but were ultimately escorted outside, CBS News reported.

WASHINGTON - With a little more than a week passed since police cracked down on their McPherson Square location, Occupy DC protestors turned their sights on the Conservative Political Action Conference Friday.

WASHINGTON - Authorities say 11 people have been arrested in Washington's McPherson Square since Park Police began clearing away tents from one of the nation's last remaining Occupy sites.

Officers arrived at McPherson Square in Washington, D.C., about 5:40 a.m. Saturday, five days after the National Park service began enforcing a ban on camping in the park.

The officers arrived before dawn Saturday and placed barricades around McPherson Square, a federal park near the White House where demonstrators have camped since October.
