Democrat Kenyan McDuffie, a civil rights attorney who received the endorsement of the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club , the city's largest LGBT political group, won a decisive victory on Tuesday in an 11-candidate race for the Ward 5 seat on the D.C. City Council.

NJ State Police official won't appear at hearing on high-speed caravans
State Police Superintendent Col. Rick Fuentes will not testify Monday before the Legislature on his division's policies regulating escorts, citing ongoing investigations into two high-speed caravans of sports cars led by troopers on some of New Jersey's busiest highways.
