Soldier's funeral procession to go through Wright City

A U.S. Army soldier from Wright City died July 8 in Baghdad. Pvt. Lucas M. Bregg, 19, suffered injuries from a "noncombat-related incident," according to the U.S. Department of Defense. The incident was under investigation by the Department of Defense. The cause of death has not been released. Bregg was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and stationed out of Fort Hood, Texas. He had been serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom for 5 months. Once Bregg's body arrives at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, family and friends may attend a private ceremony there.
