Braves' new stadium has a name _ SunTrust Park

At a groundbreaking celebration Tuesday, the Braves announced a naming rights deal with Georgia's largest bank that will result in the 41,500-seat stadium being known as SunTrust Park. The ceremony was attended by a host of team and government officials, including Gov. Nathan Deal, as well as Major League Baseball's next commissioner, Rob Manfred, and Hall of Famer Hank Aaron.

Warren was swept by Corry in three sets, 13-25, 20-25, and 24-26 Tuesday at Corry High School. Paige Wilson led the offensive effort with nine kills to go along with 10 digs, Teah Bines had 10 digs, Bailey Dilks had 12 digs and five aces, Ashley Barker had 19 assists and two aces, Megan Wortman had six kills and Kaitlin Sedon had three aces.

McDowell evens series with Warren

Playing on the newly resurfaced courts at McDowell High School, the Lady Dragons' tennis team dropped a 3-2 decision to the Class AAA Trojans. Laura Fadden defeated Phoebe Nelson and Kim Parroccini dropped a long two setter in singles before Megan Waterfield stepped up big with a 6-0, 6-1 win to score the Lady Dragons' first point.

Warren rolls over Conneaut; Ike falls in double overtime

Jason Tipton scored a pair of goals in each half, and the Warren Dragons went on to win by a score of 8-0 over Conneaut in a Region 4 boys' soccer match Monday at War Memorial Field. The Dragons, now 3-3 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the region, kept pressure on the visitors and played a majority of the game in the offensive end.

Eagles defeat Wolverines in county clash

The Lady Eagles had a little "extra motivation" as they topped Sheffield three sets to one Monday at Youngsville High School. Youngsville and Sheffield competed in this weekend's Brockway Tournament, where the Lady Wolverines picked up a win en route to their second place finish while Youngsville exited after pool play.

Lady Knights 7th out of 13 at Red Dragon invite

The Eisenhower girls cross country team finished seventh out of 13 teams at this weekend's Red Dragon Invitational at Long Point State Park. Julia Bauer led the Ike girls with a 25th place finish out of 94, in 23:11.
