The community is VERY supportive of Tri-Town Regional Hospital. The economic climate in NYS is
slow but deliberate at this time, making faster change a complicated process.
We welcome anyone who would like to see our progress to visit our website: www.tritownhospital.org

Tanya, give it up already. Stop living in the past. In today's healthcare enviroment many of those services that make a hospital "full service" lose money. These services lose money in the bigger hospitals as well but they are offset by more revenue generating services and patients. You don't see Six Flags or Major League Baseball opening up franchises in the Tri Town region do you? There is a reson for this- the local economy could not support them. Reimbursemnet rules ahve changes since the glory days of the 50's when Blue Cross was reimbursing hospitals for business who checked in Friday afternoon for a weekend of pampering and massages (yes, nurses were actually trained to give massages in school once upon a time). My mother was a nurse from the old days and told me all about this. Medicaid reimbursement is decreasing all the time. Have you noticed the proportion of unemployed bozos in this area on Medicaid? The chief reason that brand new O.B. floor closed a year or so before the rest of the hospital is the number of single, unemployed Medicaid moms dropping puppies and not paying a dime. Where were the fathers? Out making new babies with the next low self-esteem bimbo. Why not? They are unemployed too and have lots of spare time to impregnate skanks. So you see Tanya, the days of yore when people got good jobs at Bendix/Amphenol, had good health benifits and stayed married till death do them part and were contributing members of the community instead of complete takers are long gone. All that is left of that era are a bunch of miserable, complaining old retirees like yourself on a "fixed income" and Medicare which, at least reimburses better than Medicaid for now.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
