Section of Metro Blue Line closed after deputy-involved shooting
A shooting involving Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies on the Metro Blue Line tracks in Walnut Park forced the temporary closure of the linebetween Florence and 103rd Street during the Friday morning commute.
Two men slain after gunfire breaks out in Florence-Firestone area
Two men where killed Wednesday afternoon after gunfire broke out in an unincorporated neighborhood near Walnut Park and Florence-Firestone. One man died at the scene in the 7600 block of Bell Avenue , authorities said, and the other was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.
