I do not care if you are gay or straight it should still be okay to go to prom. We spend 90% of our lives trying to make it to school and most people drop out the first chance they get so if you have stuck it out to senior year it should be only right to be able to attend your prom.

I'm so thankful that Christians in Walnut stood up against what some call "politically correct." Truthfully, it is simple. What was defined as sin in the Bible is still a sin today. We have made a serious mistake by remaining silent and tolerate so that no one feels mistreated. Well now, there are laws protecting their rights to live alternate life styles. How did we let this happen? Very sad

I am a christian and I do believe homosexuality is a sin. So is premarital sex. Should we stop students who have sex outside of marriage from attending the prom. I say no and neither should we prevent gays. As long as there is no pda at the prom it is there right to attend they attend school with the straight kids. As far as pda goes if anyone does it straight or gay they should be reprimanded. If it doesn't stop make them leave And to all you who think you are the voice of God try and show everyone some love. God hates the sin but lovesd the sinner. Even homosexuals

Or if they were GLBT and it'd just just hunky dorey to mistreat them? How sad. How utterly pathetic, not to mention unChristian. In short, get a life, and grow UP.

God prayed for the sinners who put him on the cross and ask for forgiveness for them correct? Well if you see something unchristian like then don't put then down pray for them. God didn't put the people who crucified him down he prayed. So why put others down for there sin when you can just pray for them. And god said thy who has not sinned may cast the first stone! And we are all sinners show why are we any better? Which is a bigger sin stealing a cracker or murder? Neathier there both a sin so no sin is worse then the other so there sin and our sin is one and the same.

I attend my Lutheran church ("St. Martin's German Third Reformed Lutheran Church And Microbrewery of Tobyhanna"), each and every Sunday, and just this past Sunday, our pastor preached about Romans 3:22-24: "22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Then we broke out the new batch of German Communion Beer, and drank heartily, and there was great merriment and rejoicing at God's Good Word ! :)

I bet you had more rejoicing when the beer came out than when the bible. You have confounded the word of THE LORD JESUS. He has put a stumbling block before you just as he did the nation of Israel.

Oh, not at all ! Only the blessed Communion Beer that has been brewed by our brewmister, Pastor Bobby, and duly sanctified is allowed at Communion. Whan ya come revernetly into the church, you grab a big mug from the rack on the wall, dunk it in the big open barrel of cold communion Beer, and then quietly take your seat in the pew.

The problem was not with gays attending proms as much as it was about the gay teens making in your face statements about their sexuality. Had C.M. simply planned to wear more conventional female attire to the prom instead of making some in your face statements prior to the prom, that whole circus last year would have never materialized. Constance McMillen was more interested in making distracting waves than in allowing a prom to be an enjoyable event for all.

Somewhere along the line you got off track. Man can't sanctify anything. If we could we wouldn't need JESUS. Man can justify or legalize anything. Where one tends to go wrong is when we start saying well I think the lord meant this or meant that with scripture. It's not about what we think but what he means. Take the scripture as it is written. Not the way man confounds it. What would happen if pastor bobby sanctified polygamy or same sex marriage or underage sex or take from one and give to another or attending church nude or writing his own bible. There is no end to mans iniquity. The bible is GODS word. Nothing more or less. We can't change it to fit our todays social cultures. We try but err greatly. Read the word, don't add to it and don't say well I think, because when man thinks that's when we fail when it comes to scripture

You should come sometime, it's GREAT fun and I'm certain you would enjoy it. :) PEACE !

This is just pitiful homosexuals getting married. What is the United States coming to? The Bible says that the sin of homosexuality is a abomination. I'm proud of what happened in my community. It's about time someone took a stand for what's right. As far as all this talk about the church being so called "gay bashers" I have something to say. Since when was it wrong for a body of believers to come together and pray? God isn't pleased with U.S. We are dealing with the same sin that was in Sodom and Gomorrah. What did he do those cities? He destroyed them. Even Lot's wife for looking back. I just wish so called Christians would believe in what the Bible says not their own opinions.

We all have a different view of this subject. It's not right for anyone to be told they can't do this because your gay. But also they shouldn't flaunt it. God put us here specifically to spread his word, and praise him. You can't spread his word by being Gay or judging others. It's our responsibility as Christians to let them know they are in danger of going to HELL, but we shouldn't say you are going to hell. If God wanted same sex to be together he would have made Adam & Steve instead of Adam & Eve.

I am very happy that these kids came together and stood against this. I believe that homosexuality is a sin. But, as another poster here pointed out, it was not the gay issue as it was the in your face attitudes. Good job, Walnut!
