Man shot dead at Antioch park

I could swear I read someone else was shot in that same parking lot a year or two ago. My question is this. Was he shot while in the car at that location or was he shot somewhere else and drove there only to pass away or what. They don't go into details. Was there broken glass around the car or was he shot from inside the car and the person who did the shooting then take off. What did the neighbors see. We need more information. I'm sick of all these killings. And I don't know Mat and I'm not saying anything negative about mat but his killer(s) seem tipical ghetto fasion. The crap we been plagued with. Someone posted on SFGATE said something about him getting his life together.

I just drove by lonetree and hillcrest and I saw alot of people holding candles that must be why so sad for family. How far from walmart did that happen remember gang stuff awhile back they said don't go to walmart? Too bad

A boy was shot across the street next to walmart in an empty field who walked through that park earlier but there was another person shot in the parking lot of that park last year or earlier. I remember hearing about it.

Maybe Matt should have gone to Oakland to sell his drugs instead of a place that my kids use to play? You notice I said use to. Yet I pay extra tax so they can mow the lawns for the thugs from Oakland to kill each other in. Maybe the county should pitch in a few bucks since their foster children are screwing up our town.

Okay bitch, for one matt was a nice white boy, not ghetto at all and ne was not from oakland... He was in the boy scouts for 7 years and he was the best person someone could know, he was funny and kind and caring, people make mistakes and he paid WAY TO FUCKING MUCH for what he did, but he didnt deserve that. He lived in antioch his whole life and actually 3 blocks from that park so for you to sit there and try to say something bad about a kind person that you know nothing about yourself, you should go jump off of a bridge... I will say. It was too high of a price to pay. I feel sorry for his family. We all need to take this and learn from it.

What made a good kid make the wrong choices?

Did this happen on the street in front of the parking area or in the parking area? I'm curious because I saw a bunch of teens hanging out in front of the parking area on the sidewalk. I dont know if they were building a shrine to him.

Children, Have any of you taken into count how matthew's mom Eilene feels. I was just shocked to see the devistation his loss has caused that family. Kid's make mistakes, selling a little pot does not deserve being killed. For all I know My own Kids could be doing the same. I think of myself as having nice children, nice home, all honor students in college. It could be your kids, could be mine. This was a wonderful family.. Show some respect. He was not a filthy drug dealer. The thugs that killed him are the crap from Oakland, creeping our way day by day. Call it racist, I don't give a crap. I wasn't thinking bad of him. I agree the problem was the punks who killed him over weed. It's harsh. His mom or family shouldn't have to suffer from the sht sec8 element that is fking this city up. We should all march down lonetree and demand an end to section 8 abuse and these low life losers. I choose to remember the Matthew racing his pine wood derby car, his regatta boat, and his excitement over the explosion of the volcano he and his den brothers built. I choose to remember the happiest little boy I've ever met. The one willing to help others, to be kind and considerate, and a friend to all.
