Wakefield, Neb., rejects fluoridation proposals
Wakefield voters have rejected fluoridation. The vote Tuesday was 135 to 8 against the idea of adding fluoride to the town's water supply.
Voters in Wakefield have rejected adding fluoride to their town's water supply. During a special election Tuesday, 135 votes were cast in favor of prohibiting fluoride being added to the water supply, while only eight votes supported adding it, said a spokeswoman at the Dixon County courthouse.
