On a windy day at Waimanalo Beach, the Lanikai Canoe Club blew away the competition to win another regatta yesterday.

A Hawai'i Kai family is relieved that a bench they donated to a city beach park in memory of their late son has been returned after being stolen March 22.

The city is removing nearly 200 trees from Waimanalo Beach - many of them because of burns sustained at the hands of park users who use the trees as windbreakers while barbecuing.

From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each Monday at Waimanalo Beach Park, a group of volunteer coaches and community organizations host free Speed Camps and Wellness education programs for area youth and their parents.
