Stump of area's oldest tree sits at City Hall
FERNLEY--In 2004, Joan Fincher-Bevan began rallying residents to preserve a portion of the city's oldest tree, which stood for many years at the former Jackson Ranch, which was then located on Main Street.

FERNLEY--Volunteers spent Saturday morning walking the historic Truckee River Route of the California Trail and along the old Central Pacific Railroad picking up household garbage, and yard refuse, in an effort to keep the area looking the same as when pioneers passed through that area.
