Over the holidays, authorities continued to apprehend individuals wanted in this month's drug roundup, entitled the "16 Days of Christmas." Lincolnton Police initiated the effort and had assistance from multiple area agencies in apprehending suspects.

No one ran for several elected positions in Grover, Fallston and Waco, so those leaders were selected by wrote-in votes on Election Day.
