A handful of South Dakotans headed to Tennessee this month to attend an event 200 years in the making - a funeral for explorer Meriwether Lewis.

Phase 1 construction on Interstate 90 between Draper and Vivian should be complete the week of July 20, 2009 .

WINNER, S.D. Construction work will begin June 1 for Phase I on I-90 near Draper and Vivian resulting in the west bound lanes being closed and traffic running head to head in the east bound lanes.

The Gregory Legion will hold their Memorial Day program at the Gregory Auditorium today at 11:00am. The Dallas Legion Memorial Day program will be held at the Dallas Legion Hall at 10:00am. The Wood Lake Post 202 will hold their Memorial Day services on Sunday, May 24th at 2:30 at the Wood Lake Cemetary.

Memorial Day services at Vivian will be held at the Community Hall at 9:30 AM; services at Presho will follow at the Lyman County Memorial site at 11AM with a potluck dinner concluding the programs.A Gloria Schaefer of Kennebec will be the guest speaker for both events.
