The home of an 81-year-old woman was ransacked and the burglars stole an undetermined amount of money and a wide variety of merchandise, state police said Sunday.

A harrowing, high-speed chase of a suspected drunken driver ended when the man lost control of his car on a winding road in Jackson Township and the vehicle overturned, authorities said.
