I personally thank the community members of Midway for attending the St. Landry Parish Government meeting @ the Opelousas Court House Oct.21,2009.The community,as well as myself, were pleased with the position of moving forward with this project.Personally thanking the Parish officials for their continued concern, actions and support. Will post upcoming progress! Its great to see a community so united and together.Much can be accomplished. I know we all are on the right path to accomplishing our goal.I thank everyone for their kindness, hospitality, and participation. Thanks for requesting me to speak in the community's behalf.I am honored.

Midway water project and information will be addressed November 18, 2009, 6p.m. St. Landry Parish Government Counsil, rm. 132. It is my understanding per Mr. Hurlin Dupree, that the project is moving forward. Mr. Roy Harrington, resident of midway, plans to make all meetings and convey updates to the community members and myself.I shall continue to monitor progress independently also, and I know that this project, although seemingly delayed, will proceed. Thanks, Cheryl Goudeau Buxton

Say you people of Midway, have you all figured out yet that the meeting coming up wont change a thing. If the elected officials, Mr. Dupree and Mr Bushell, never lifted a finger to help Midway people, and thats their job, any of yall got brain cells to figure out why? And futher more Ms. West said the rats ate the paper work up .....big rats attorney! Big rats, they got paper but not the kind most can chew holes in. Don Menard, whatcha doing bout this sir. Thats right, yall better find out who is the head of this program...Good luck folks, ha ha ha ha.....no water for yall...shoulda had a preacher on ya side not against ya!.........

It is so sad, but at least we know why for twelve years we have been the south end of the donkey headed north. 1999 block grant,$225,000.00 to midway, then another $150,000.00 for the same water project. Same handful on the water system, selective preference in full Louisiana style politics at its best. No records, no books or any accounting, just checks deposited into the bank. It will take more than clean water to clean up this dirty mess. The water used was enough to launder $375,000.00 so far without a hitch, must be the tip of a huge iceburg, ah, offshore account. Thanks, for letting the folks down again, fearless leaders. At least throw some mud in our faces, after all you force everyone to drink it and bathe in it! 12 years ago we all would have had the water system, we just don't count. The caring attorney at the meeting told the whole room who did count..........remember Andrea?

Glad you really care. Pray you never have to be treated less than a human. Cows and Horses north of Melville drink from the Palmetto Water System. It is clean, without road kill smell. We get sick from our water. The animals down that Bayou road are treated like royalty. Its a fact. Bad water, hope you never are with it! Guess your Government officials care about your health and well being, ours don't. The people of Midway will continue to try every avenue. We will go forward until we are treated with dignity and respect. A recall is underway. I was upset that I was Number 99 and not number 1 on the list. They will listen....when its too late. We are not taken seriously..........

You've got a taste for adventure today, so you might decide to depart from tradition in some way and make it an unusual Christmas. You're certainly all set for a great time, and you'll want everyone else to enjoy themselves as much as possible. You'll probably eat and drink too much but, hey, it's Christmas! Isn't such excess par for the course?
