A Vidalia man was arrested late Thursday night after he attempted to spit on a police officer and became "loud and obnoxious." Greatery D. Dotson, 31, 606 N. Spruce St., was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and attempted simple assault on a police officer.
