Valley residents were dismayed to find that Ike's Lakeside Pizza has shut down and is no longer doing business. Not only is the restaurant vacant, but the phone has also been disconnected.
The pizza parlour is a longstanding fixture here in the McKenzie River Valley. Located across the highway from scenic Leaburg Lake, Ike's is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Recently, Animal Planet filmed the season one finale for their series Finding Bigfoot at Ike's and the Oregon Sasquatch Symposium was meeting monthly there for a Bigfoot and Beer night.
Here's hoping that this is a temporary closure and that Ike's will be open again in time for the start of fishing season.
