Services for Earl Schlemmer, 83, of Echo, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo, with burial in the Vesta cemetery.

Services for Mildred Kuehn, 96, of Vesta will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Posen Township, rural Wood Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial for James "Jim" Van Maldeghem, 94, of Marshall, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall.

The fire that destroyed the Echo Bar and Restaurant on Sunday left a hole in the community residents are hoping will be filled before too long.

Services for Bernelda Holmberg, 94, of rural Vesta will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood with burial in the church cemetery.
