Austin Granby of Verona, a member of the Seneca FFA Chapter, won the State Agricultural Sales-Entrepreneurship Award at the State FFA Proficiency Awards Day April 14 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Austin is the son of Gary Granby and Alise Margue of Verona and Mazon.

A 16-year-old Marseilles resident was cited after Grundy County deputies said he traveled more than 90 miles per hour in a 55-mile per hour zone and lost control of his vehicle, crashing in a nearby field Friday night in Mazon Township.
