This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Oregon Country Fair. And organizers say this weekenda s event is sure to be a big one.

The Oregon Country Fair Site in Veneta isn't used for many events - this weekend's fair is by far the largest.

By Paris Jackson July 8, 2009 Veneta, Ore--The 40th Annual Oregon Country Fair kicks off this weekend and thousands of people are expected to attend the fair in Veneta.

There's a whole lot of hammering and sawing and spiffing up going on at the Oregon Country Fair site, tucked in the woods along the Long Tom River west of Veneta, in anticipation of the annual three-day, always wild-and-wacky merrymaking that begins this year on July 10.
