Vaughn mobile home destroyed in late-night blaze
Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, a mobile home in Vaughn caught fire; all of the human residents escaped without injury, but several pets were lost in the blaze.
No one was injured after a fire destroyed a mobile home in Vaughn this morning. Vaughn volunteer fire crews responded to the fire in a trailer home at Sunset Loop around 2:40 a.m. Vaughn Fire Chief Nate Curtis said the home was mostly engulfed in flames when he first arrived at the scene.
Vernon Vincent Muretta, 76, of Great Falls, died of cancer and respiratory complications Wednesday at Peace Hospice.

Vaughn corn maze proves popular
The Vaughn corn maze is back for a fifth season, and so far, staff members say that the response has been "a-maze-ing!" The maze saw over 600 people come through on Saturday, taking part in a tube slide, a corn tunnel, a hay maze and a net maze, as well as a duck race game.
