If there were any doubt the second annual Gulfport Music Festival was going to be a success, Vanilla Ice put that notion squarely to rest.

The interviews are done. Now, the five-member Starkville School District board of trustees must decide who'll take the district from good to great.

Lewis Holloway, superintendent of Bulloch County, Ga.; Michael McInnis, superintendent of Union School District; and Michael Van Winkle, assistant superintendent of Jackson County School District will interview with the public Monday at the Starkville High School theater.

Dr. Lewis Holloway, superintendent of Bulloch County School District , and Dr. Michael Van Winkle, assistant superintendent of Jackson County School District, each interviewed Monday for about an hour in executive session at the Starkville School District central office on Greensboro Street.

The Commercial Dispatch reported Monday that the other finalists are Jackson County School District Assistant Superintendent Michael Van Winkle, Bulloch County School District Superintendent Lewis Holloway, Union Public School District Superintendent Michael McInnis and Bay-Waveland High School Principal David A. Parker.
