I think that most of us agree that the problem lies with in the system,...by the way, whatever happen with Judge Campell"s ordeal?

It would be really great if Van Wert had some FED investigation here. Although we are nieave if we think the problem lies just at a local level.

This is my problem with how they run their operation; They let these people do drugs in their homes with their children to continue selling to probly your children as well. Heroin is not something to just "let go and see how many more we can get hooked and arrest" its serious. What about the safty of the child at Ashley misslers house? Why is she allowed to nod off on her young child? Just to endanger more people with the poison she is pushing so she can feed her own addiction, that way the "police" can let the heroin spread to make more arrests to get more money funded to them? Wow. Screw u Van Wert. I hope your kids get it too if you want to play that way. IDIOTS

rumor was he got busted in teledo...will serve his time once he is off the bench...any truth i hve no clue...anybody?

I've researched the Toledo Blade and found nothing in its archives. Not unless his name wasn't given.

I was talking about the Federal inquiry to his misconduct on the bench

i got told by a co at the jail that he is being removed from office n jan after his seat is up.however there are still reports of misconduct,misuse of authority charges pending.i know one thing how can people be busted for the exact same crime and get to totally different sentences n crimal background wasnt a factor either.our hole crimal system is corrupt n van wert.

You redneck idiots that actually believe all the rumors about campbell are funny. If a judge is charged with a crime there is no waiting until he gets off the bench. They take him off the bench and prosecute him.

Mohr gets 5 years in prison on charges

A Van Wert man suspected of being one of the biggest drug dealers in the city was sentenced to five years in prison on a variety of charges during a hearing held Friday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Joseph A. Mohr Jr., 33, was sentenced to five years in prison on a charge of possession of heroin, a third-degree felony, and an additional 12 months apiece on two fifth-degree felony charges of possession of cocaine and vandalism. The sentences will run concurrently.

Mohr was arrested during a drug trafficking investigation and a search of his residence turned up a large amount of heroin and $6,382 in cash. After his arrest, Mohr also kicked out a window in the police cruiser that was transporting him to the police station.

Paulding County Common Pleas Judge J. David Webb handed down the sentences on assignment after Judge Charles Steele recused himself from the case.

Mohr’s attorney, Shaun Putman, thought the sentence was too harsh, citing a sentence given to Nicholas Bendele in what he said was a similar case. It was noted, though, that Mohr had kicked windows out of not one, but three police cruisers, while Mohr’s long criminal history was cited as a reason for the longer sentence.

In exchange for Mohr’s guilty plea on September 25, the prosecutor’s office downgraded the possession of heroin charge from a second-degree felony to a third-degree felony offense.

Of the money found at Mohr’s residence, Judge Webb ordered that $145 of that be used to pay the cost of replacing the cruiser window, while another $382 was confiscated. The remaining money was ordered held pending results of a child support case filed by the Van Wert County Child Support Enforcement Agency.

ya cops wait 6 months sometimes to year to have big bust and look good in the paper meanwhile they still let the suspects deal drugs and make drugs even if there are kids in the household that way they can trump up the charges nevermind letting them drive around and the cops say they protect in the name of safey
