A Taste of Small-Town Family Fun

I used to summer in a place called Van Buren Point on the shores of Lake Erie. I played bingo at the Community Center, rode tandem bikes to the candy store and told my family I would someday live in a place with plenty of sidewalks where "everybody knew everybody." Then I moved to Los Angeles and shocked my parents.
