Drug agents say they have made an arrest after discovering a methamphetamine lab in a remote area in the Maine town of Connor in Aroostook County.

Rather than dealing in currency, the St. John Valley Time Bank, based out of Van Buren, matches people, skills and services among its registered members.

In addition, $37 million will go to bridges, with $25 million for 15 new bridge construction projects, and nearly $10 million for three existing bridge projects awaiting bidding.

The sentencing lasted almost an hour. Yet even as Paul Violette walked briskly with his head down away from the Cumberland County Courthouse Friday afternoon, the most perplexing question of all remained unanswered.
