SLIDESHOW: Largest bear ever documented in MS
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks recently captured a bear it says is the largest ever documented in Mississippi.
U.S. Highway 61 closed until further notice
A sign was put in place to block U.S. 61, some nine miles north of Vicksburg. The road went underwater just overnight in the southbound lane.
Saturday's deadly tornado stayed on the ground for hours as it crossed Mississippi from west to east.
Mississippi tornado flattens homes
A large tornado touched down near Valley Park, Mississippi, Saturday, the National Weather Service confirmed.
