The trial of a Vallecito man accused of assault with a deadly weapon against three California Highway Patrol officers more than a year ago has been delayed again.

Former Calaveras County District 5 Supervisor Russ Thomas, of Copperopolis, is seeking re-election to the board from the newly redrawn District 4. Thomas, 67, served one term representing a district that consisted of Copperopolis and Rancho Calaveras.
