EDUCATION: Inland schools earn statewide awards
Two Riverside County elementary schools in the Val Verde and Beaumont unified school districts, and the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, will be awarded Golden Bells today by the California School Boards Association.
Moreno Valley: Val Verde honored by College Board
Val Verde Unified was honored Nov. 29 as an APA District of the Year for expanding its Advanced Placement program while maintaining or improving the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher - for which the majority of U.S. colleges and universities will grant credit.
Residents of Acton and Val Verde could end up paying more for their water after the county supervisors vote on a recommendation to raise rates in those areas.
