They want jobs, services, a healthy environment...and they want us to pay for it. No thanks. If you are wanting a better place to live and you are a citizen or legal immigrant, you have the right to move. If you are illegal, please go back home and ask your government for the same thing.

You are a bigot that fails to understand the economic realities of poor people.

No, I am a person who truly believes in personal accountability. You can either stand on a corner with your hand out or you can walk to the next corner and ask for a job.

I know what it is like to be poor. I left for college with $300 to my name and graduated with no debt. I worked fulkl time during the week and part time on the weekend to advance myself. Anyone, and I say again, anyone can better themselves without help from the government or their neighbor. When you stop calling people names and see the situation for what it really is, you would realize that most hardships are self implied. No one has a right to live off the success of others.

I love it when people have no argument and therefore use the words bigot, racist, nazi, liberal, redneck, etc.

Under current U.S. immigration law, individuals arriving in the United States without the necessary documents, including asylum seekers, are subject to mandatory detention.

The article stated that it is through the "lens of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations back in 1948." Article 7 of the declaration states “[a]ll are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law."

So, in other words, ALL detainees need to be afforded with basic human rights, including the right to due process.
