Number of drug arrests are reported
On April 6 an investigation by the Appling County Sheriff's Office, Altamaha Drug Task Force and Georgia State Patrol led to the arrest of Christopher Isaac Smith, age 20, of Cedar Crossing , Michael Ladon Yeomans, age 40, of 144 Benny Road, Lyons, and Shannon Eugene Newsome, age 32, of Rollins Place Road, Uvalda.
