Now I would have to think that the house targeted was targeted for a reason. Cops better watch that place. Odds are it's a drug dealer.

I heard those helicopters in the morning,then into the afternoon,still seeing them.I knew something was going on,but what.Nothing on the local news that day.The next day it was in the local newspaper.I live near that street.just as in Philly,it was safe to walk at night.When I was 10,my grandmother use to take me to a small restaurant at night where her freind worked,56th and Woodland ave.Years later,I would'nt even go pass in the day.When living here,it was safe to go out at night.When in my 20's,I would be out clubbing,come home early morning hours,no problems being out at those hours.Now it's back to staying in at night,and being watchful,careful during the day in my hometown.For the same exact reasons,what many have moved here to escape,now has followed here.My grandmother's frein had a diner at 52nd and Walnut.My father use to go and drive her home,I and my brothers also where there,then taken to her home to spend the weekend.There we are,8pm,and no fear of robbery,assult.1965 that was.As crime escaladed.I was glad not to live there,always glad to return to Upper Darby.Now the crime has moved out into this area.It seems it may be necessary to return to a temporary martial law,and have all citizens required to be in their homes at certain hours,unless it's for work,going to a hospital.I would rather have that to live with then how it is now.Also to heavily patrol the streets randomly during all shifts.I'm applying for a gun,anyone trying to break in will be shot.

THAT'S THE SPIRIT!!!!! SHOOT THEM, HOFF!!! But, dude! Clubbing?!?!?! Only broads go "clubbing". Dudes just go "out". C'mon, man. By the way, the helicopters you saw were probably reporting the very big water main break at 64th & Lindbergh, i Southwest. They were there all morning. I saw them, too. I work down that way in one of the junk yards.

Now protecting yourself is a good reason for a gun. I suggest you log in as many range time as possible... and get a license to carry a concealed weapon. If you live in a row home and you actually care about your neighbor... then get something that wont' over penetrate the walls. I like Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun, or a Mossberg 500 home defense series. Get a pistol grip telescoping stock cuz the side saddle is free I believe.
"We Don't Call 911..." That's my policy. |

I hear that term more than guys going "out".I have more neices than nephews,so the "clubbing" term was first come to mind and typed it,realized the term,but thought "so what?',and left it that way.The point is what matters.No,the helicopters I saw were the ones near me.where I'm at,I can't see helicopters at Linberg ave.I live at the bottom of a hill,surrounded by higher buildings.Also,I have a neighbors former "house guest" that was at the scene,and said the helicopter even landed at Beverly Hills school.Other neighbors also seen the helicopters directly overhead our homes.Plus the police report in the newspaper confirming a helicopter was there.I always say what I know is true.If I don't know for sure,I say so. |

About 6:30pm I hear noise outback my home.It was the child,whose family moved in recently,say 2 months ago.He was alone,playing around with trash.One peice of trash,a box,had an address on it.Wiltshire road,about 3/4 mile from here.The wind did'nt blow it that far.Well,this boy picked up that and some other trash,washed down the street from last nights storm,and brought it to my yard and threw it into my yard.I opened the screen and asked why he was doing that.He just picked up what he threw and went into his home.Again with this loitering around my home.Nothing here any more exciting or worthwhile than their homes.Even when I was that young,I never did that.It's all how one is raised.Seems to me,most these days,like to live in filth.Lack of self respect,decency.

What hundred block of Wiltshire? I grew up (or not if you ask Clementon Dave) on the 500 block, but have been out of there for quite some time. Haven't seen the street since my mom passed, and we sold the house. It reained a fairly quiet street despite the rest of the neighborhood. Probably because it is inconvenient street to use a cut through, so not much pedestrian traffic except those who live there. The 200 & 300 blocks however are trouble.
The helicopters may have been watching the water main break near 69th & Market. Turs out one happened there that day, too. Talk about decaying infrastructure. But that doesn't explain landing at B.H. Maybe it was a trauma unit copter picking up an accident victim. |

558 Wiltshire,Monique Johnson.So,Miss/Mrs./mz.if you're viewing this forum,how is it your trash is where I live,3/4 mile away?Maybe I'll bring it over there and throw it on your front lawn.And then bring my trash over there on a regular basis.You pay taxes I assume,therefore,what you throw out will be picked up at your home,no need to take it elsewhere.What is the logic of doing this? |
||||
The helicopter was directly over my home,then moved toward Garret.Perhaps the one that landed at B.H. was truma unit,but in the Daily times,it states a helicopter from Delaware state,assisted in the apprehension on Wingate road.That is the helicopter that passed over my home. |

As I stated, I grew up on that block. No longer live on it though. Don't receive any mail there anymore. I still live in Upper Darby, but in an area that has a Lansdowne zip. |

I went to the scene at about the time it was over. the swat team were climbing down the ladder from the fire truck from the roof. a black man from sanford road walked up to me and said: "That is what you get with section 8. I have seen a lot of people in and out of that house. it is drugs with all of these section 8 people." this from a black man. a black man who probably works a job and is a responsible homeowner. section 8 is nothing than hard working people paying through taxes for criminals to have free or almost free housing.

Hear that, Conshohoken Dave????????? How 'bout them apples??? |

Hear what? A black man admitting when things are bad? What's so special about that. Notice how he didn't point at a particular race like some people do Mr. Sean Patrick Kelly. He didn't say white, he didn't say black, he just said Section 8 housing residents. |

I was actually more impressed with the fact that 50 year had a good sensable story. How about you? He hasn't been commenting as much as he used to. Did you hurt his feelings or something? On an unrelated note: I guess you really do work for the township. Not that I actually thought you were lying, but it's always good to double check things. |
