Vaughan H.A. Seed robbed at gunpoint
On Monday, July 14 between 8:30 and 9 a.m., the Tuskegee Police Department received a call about an armed burglary at the Vaughan H.A. Seed Company on Lee Street.
According to officials, two males armed with a semi-automatic and a revolver went into Vaughan's demanding that owner Asa Vaughan open the safe and the cash register. They promised not to hurt him if he cooperated.
The two robbers tied Vaughan with duct tape. They were only able to take $170 that the owner had on his possession and took the owner's black Cocker Spaniel dog, "Molly," which was in a cage.
