She's not a trooper. The headline says that a trooper made an arrest for DWI.

This story was poorly portrayed. I don't know all the local garbage going on here.... just know that the mug shot is of woman who's heart is broken. Brings tears to my eyes to see this. Sad. If you don't agree, then you don't have a heart.

Tell me what's the point? This article could've gotten the message across without her picture. I don't condone drinking and driving, but I think, no matter the outside circumstances... she deserves a certain amount of privacy. BAD, BAD TASTE on the media's part, as usual.

Drinking and driving is wrong! What is worse is the troopers releasing the story! They do NOT have to...relesing the story is optional. Is there nothing else that this small town has to do except make people's mistakes worse? Releaseing this garbage to the media is harder on the family than the victim. Grow up Lewis County!

Releasing reports about DUI's is a deterrent. Hopefully she'll be embarassed enough not to drink and drive again since her name is in the paper, on the radio and now on here. She should be embarrassed. However, the police should release every report to the media. They do not especially if they know the person who is arrested. That's wrong.

Yeah the mugshot is a tad bit over the line in my opinion, her name in the article i believe was emberassing enough but then to hit below the belt by putting up a mug shot well thats just dirty.

I feel so sorry for her.

Anyone who knows Heather know that she is not a bad person, she is a family-orientated girl and hard working...a veteran and a life-saver. She is very small and if you notice in the article, she registered a .08 BAC. Thats not very high when you weigh about 100 lbs., I don't know why she drove the vehicle, but I do know that there are many, many people who drive their vehicle after they have had a couple of drinks...its too bad the media decided to post her picture, Im sure her mother is devastated, it added insult to injury.

The article states that she registered a 0.14, not a 0.08.

The arrest stemmed from a vehicle stop. The Defendant preformed a breath test with the results being .14% BAC.

Amazed, read it again, It says BAC >.08 which means it is greater than .08 and further in the article it states her bac was 0.14. Remember those mean > greater than and < less than from school days.

I am in agreement with you. This is her business alone, and no one else's. What happened to being innocent until proven guilty. I do not believe any of this info should be in the media--but if it is going to be it should only be after it has been proven--not speculated. I was charged with a DUI 10 years ago, and it to went in the paper, but I was found innocent of ALL the charges. I did not see the media publish that, or that it was a mistake. It really is bullshit.

I wonder if pictures of the children that could have killed from her driving that night would have been sadder to see than her mug shot.But i guess it is OK?????Poor sad girl.

None of the posts are saying that its okay to drive drunk....but we do live in a country where you are innocent until proven guilty, and we all know that the justice system is not fool-proof.
