The Eastern High School Class of 2012 will receive their diplomas during the annual commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. on May 20, with awards and scholarships being presented during the annual High School Awards Assembly at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the high school.

Woman's Health Day will be observed on Tuesday, May 22, at the St. Paul Methodist Church Fellowship Center and the OSU Hospital/The James mobile van will be in Tuppers Plains to do low-cost or Think Pink-funded mammograms.

The Lady Eagles scored three runs on four hits in the top of the first highlighted by a two-run triple by Kiki Osborne.

While progress is being made on the installation of directional and informational markers along the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the expectation now is that the project will not be completed in Meigs County this year.
