The Johnson Family Project: How volunteers rebuilt house for couple with 17 children
"This is the way the world is supposed to work," she said. "Everybody here has a smile on their face." In three weeks, more than 200 volunteers using materials donated by 154 companies took the 1,230-square-foot, L-shaped ranch house at 1459 Route 80 in the town of Otisco down to its studs and rebuilt it.
