Joplin surpasses Flint for deadliest twister: How West Michigan's worst twisters compare
The other F5 hit West Michigan 55 years ago , killing at least 17 and injuring 340 as the twister traveled a 52-mile-long path through Vriesland-Hudsonville-Standale and Trufant.
