The homeless haunt flushing is most likely a good part of the problem. How sad for our beautiful beaches.

Amazing assumptions here. Everyone assumes this is all from just poop? Pesticides from farms, Hundreds of gallons of herbicides from logging, and heaven knows what gets dumped into the storm drains by citizens, far outweigh what seeps into the ground from septic tanks.
(That are only "owned by the rich"???)

Pick up your dog's poop. We picked up half a dozen piles in our yard before the rain and we no longer own a dog.
Thanks in advance

WOW get this Darwin recipient an honorary doctorate since he has discovered a new way how ecoli is propagated. Pesticides, herbicides = ecoli flora = stupid comment from uneducated idiot!

Especially in the Plaza, post some signs, sometimes you may be upwind so would not get the patchouli stink warning.

I don't think it is the seeping in the ground part that is the problem. It is the overflowing on top of the ground that occurs from failure to periodically pump solids. I'm sure that there are other failure points to a neglected system.

Is anybody suprised at this? Throughout history the rainy season has been a sign of bleesings in the form of food growth and renewal. However, due to liberals and the perverted immoral lifestyle that comes with them, creation continues to highlight the unbalance and illeffect of the animalistic liberal paradigm. And so the world sails on in its course toward new and intricate viruses while waves of calamity and hardship attempt to warn the boat and its passengers of the dangers that lay ahead.

As a result of development that exceeds capacity, millions of gallons of raw sewage flow into the wooded wetlands of Eureka during heavy rains...crab season.

"First-Flush", "bugs", "routine recommendations"

WHITEWASH!

Time to get the developer's representatives out of local government!

SERIOUSLY! When your dog goes around the neighborhood, guess what, they poop in your neighbor's lawn and then their little kids step in it on their way to school. What a bunch of jerks. I am not sure what house the dogs come from, because I would love to clean up the poop in my yard and put it right on your front porch!

Ahhhh, I am so glad that I do not share your world view. It must be so nice to be better than all those darn liberals. Greed has nothing to do with the pollution and failing economy. It's all the lefty's fault? What a joke.

Gosh! Such hate! Pushed your button, did I?
Miss your daily Glenn Beck?
If you can keep your blood pressure down and your oh-so-civil comments
in your mouth for a moment- I will try to explain;
When herbicides and pesticides propagate, they kill living creatures.
The e-coli (NOT ecoli) that resides in the guts of some of these formerly
living things then seeps into the ground along with all
the other undesirable things. Follow?
You can back to Fox news now........

BTW- Darwin awards are only given to those who are deceased.
(Or maybe just angry and brain-dead.)

Sounds downright biblical - how 'bout "judge not lest ye be judged" or maybe "let he who is without sin cast the first stone?"

I think that maybe Gaia is rejecting the population that is exercising irresponsible dominion over her - polluting her water and atmosphere, chopping off her mountaintops to dig the coal out, drilling holes into her crust to pump out and burn the oil, dumping piles of garbage into her oceans, rivers & streams, and all the while ignoring the effect their actions are having. She's spawning hellish tornadoes, tsunamis, wildfires & hurricanes to try to get our attention, but the greedy,'conservative' right-wing, pigs are too mired in their own self-glory to even look up from their troughs to see what is going on.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
